Rockoverdose.gr: Buenas tardes y bienvenidos TARJA, ¿cómo estás?

Tarja Turunen: Estoy bien, muchas gracias. Preparando muchas cosas nuevas, un período emocionante.

Rockoverdose.gr ¿cómo te sientes sobre tu más reciente álbum, el "What Lies Beneath", ¿Cómo lo evalúas hasta ahora?

Tarja Turunen: Muy positivo, yo viajo mucho y la gira con el álbum ha sido en todo el mundo. Estoy muy contenta, me gusta mi música. Finalmente encontré lo que me hace sentir cómoda y confortable, así que estoy emocionada por lo que vendrá en el futuro.  Tarja Turunen: Definitivamente es frustrante viajar, algunas facetas del tour y principalmente la falta de sueño, falta de equilibrio, dificultad para cumplir con el programa en cualquier lugar, etc no es fácil… para un cantante es muy agotador, tratando de no enfermarse. No estuve enferma en todo el año pasado y esto me agradó, pero creo que  tiene que ver con la felicidad que siento al hacer lo que me gusta, por eso no se enfermo tan a menudo.

Rockoverdose.gr: Han sido clave algunos remixes interesantes que ha realizado y colaboraciones con artistas como ALICE COOPER, WHITESNAKE y SCORPIONS. ¿Está satisfecho con el resultado general?

 

Tarja Turunen: Por supuesto, una mujer cantando estas canciones resulta un poco extraño. Mucha gente dice "Wow, ¿qué es esto" y la verdad es que soy muy generosa con estos temas. Me encantan los desafíos y estoy un poco loco por ellos, pero lo que me mueve es esta locura. Me sentí agradable y feliz de conocer a estos artistas tan importantes para trabajar con ellos y, sobre todo para aprender de ellos.

El mejor momento y el más emocionante fue cuando recibí la llamada de KLAUS MEINE de SCORPIONS…Si lo piensas, yo era muy joven cuando escuche a Scorpions, bailaba sus canciones con mis amigos en la discoteca y luego un día el cantante de esa misma banda, toma teléfono y me pide que integre mi voz a su siguiente álbum, fue simplemente fantástico lo que pasó y son personas muy agradables también.

  

Rockoverdose.gr: Como todos ya sabemos. Recientemente cantó una nueva canción en Finlandia llamada "Outlander", que está inspirada en Paulo Coelho. ¿Cómo surgió esta idea por primera vez?

Tarja Turunen: Soy un gran fan de Paulo Coelho, he leído todos sus libros y he seguido ese camino por muchos años ya. Es muy inspirador, me ha ayudado mucho al momento de escribir música y letra en mi carrera y tuve la oportunidad de darle las gracias por toda esta influencia, él respondió una semana más tarde, le comenté sobre la idea de "Outlander", que yo había compuesto hace algún tiempo y le pregunté directamente si podía utilizar el texto de la pieza y respondió positivamente.

Es un hombre muy bueno con un gran corazón y tengo la esperanza de reunirme con él algún día, "Outlander" es un nuevo proyecto con música electrónica diferente, de mi querido amigo, Torsten Stenzel, que es un productor alemán que vive en el Caribe. Lógicamente tenemos una muestra en el futuro, pero todavía no hay planes inmediatos.

Rockoverdose.gr: Usted tiene un proyecto paralelo llamado HARUS. ¿Hay planes para nuevos álbumes?

Tarja Turunen: Con HARUS acabamos de lanzar una grabación en vivo de un concierto de Navidad de 2009. Nos tomó varias horas grabarlo y con la ayuda de CD y DVD, con suerte incluso podríamos venir a tocar a Grecia. Con HARUS, estamos juntos desde el año 2006, entrando ahora todo bajo un mismo nombre y para que todos puedan oír la música que hacemos. No sólo tocamos canciones de navidad,  esperamos realizar un disco y escribir piezas para este proyecto.

  

Rockoverdose.gr: ¿Cuál es la dirección musical de HARUS?

Tarja Turunen: Estamos todos juntos porque todas las piezas las hacemos a nuestra manera, hablando de esas piezas, organizando lo que será tocado en vivo y cuando nos reunimos, que se verifiquen. Todo el mundo allí es fantástico, todos tienen grandes carreras por su cuenta y la pasamos muy bien, realmente disfrutamos estar juntos y aflorar sentimientos hermosos y fuertes para que el mundo nos escuche.

Rockoverdose.gr: Si revisamos su carrera, ¿crees que está hecha para la música metal o la ópera clásica?

Tarja Turunen: Llegué el metal después de la presencia de la música clásica en mi vida. Me inicié como cantante en una banda. Todos los fans saben acerca de preparación en la música clásica, para nadie es un secreto. Todavía lo hago, música clásica y metal. Estoy en muy buena posición hoy en día como cantante y yo lo disfruto mucho. No me preocupo  en absoluto por tener una carrera seria en la ópera o en el metal. Me gusta hacer ambos géneros y no hay nada que pueda para cambiarlo.

Rockoverdose.gr: NIGHTWISH lanzó su nuevo álbum hace días atrás. ¿Has escuchado una canción de Internet, si es así, ¿algún comentario?

Tarja Turunen: No, no lo he escuchado

  

Rockoverdose.gr: ¿Echa de menos algo de su época en NIGHTWISH?

Tarja Turunen: No, no echo de menos nada… han pasado muchos años desde entonces y no quiero mirar hacia atrás sino hacia adelante. Eso me mantiene viva y me da alegría.

  

Rockoverdose.gr: Durante la gira en Grecia, donde se realizaran  dos espectáculos en vivo para enero de 2012. ¿Hay algunos planes o sorpresas para estos conciertos?

Tarja Turunen: Por supuesto. El setlist está cambiando porque Grecia es el último lugar del tour, así que habrá cambios allí. También tenemos la intención de grabar un DVD de uno de los shows finales, así que voy a preparar un setlist muy bueno y tal vez algo diferente para escuchen los fans. Rockoverdose.gr: ¿Cuáles son las principales fuentes de inspiración para las letras de "My Winter Storm" y "What Lies Beneath";

Tarja Turunen: Claro que es P. Coelho y sus libros, es la mayor influencia que tengo, en general, cuando escribo. También las experiencias que he tenido en mi vida personal , es muy personal lo que yo hago en mi música, cada experiencia que tuve, o cada "viaje" que he hecho, todas estas experiencias se pueden ver en mi trabajo. Lo tomo como algo muy personal, yo me muevo en el pensamiento y el sentimiento personal.

 Rockoverdose.gr: ¿Puede hablarnos de una persona a la que admire por su experiencia en la música hasta ahora?

 

Tarja Turunen: Creo que muchos músicos. Hay tantas personas alrededor del mundo que hacen lo que quieren y viven su sueño, pero la persona que está muy influido principalmente en mí con su música ha sido Peter Gabriel (ex - Genesis), soy un gran fanática, pude conocerlo en Dublín hace 2 años y se sentía como una niña, temblaba de emoción y alegría. Me encanta su trabajo, su carrera  y aún hace cosas mágicas.

Rockoverdose.gr: ¿Hay alguien a quien le gustaría conocer?

 Tarja Turunen: It's definitely frustrating to travel, some facets of the tour and especially the lack of sleep, lack of balance, difficulty in complying with the program anywhere, so it is not easy ... for a singer is too hard, trying not to get sick. Tarja Turunen: No, I have not heard

  

Rockoverdose.gr: Do you miss some of his time in Nightwish?

Also the experiences I had in my personal life is very personal as I do in my music, every experience I had, or every "journey" I've done, all these experiences you can see in my work.  Rockoverdose.gr: Can you tell a person you admire for their expertise in music so far?

Tarja Turunen: I think many musicians. Tarja Turunen: «Claro.»

En el año 2006 en Finlandia, publicó un libro, en torno al cual se ha acumulado una gran cantidad de controversia, especialmente cuando tres años más tarde se publicó en traducción al Inglés. Hablo, por supuesto, "Once Upon A NIGHTWISH: La Biografía Oficial 1996 - 2006" por Marko Ollila. El autor atribuye en gran parte a su esposo y manager Marcelo Cabuli para provocar una división en NIGHTWISH, pero me pregunto cómo toda esta situación se ve desde su punto de vista. Es Marko Ollila le dio la oportunidad de comentar en absoluto en la biografía, o se trata más bien de un solo lado de versión?

«I consider myself very lucky that so many great musicians appeared in my life - not just mean those who have made a guest appearance on the album. They were a great support to me and sometimes I could count on your help. As a result of all these events that have taken place in recent years, underwent an internal transformation. In the limited edition of "What Lies Beneath" was totally unexpected cover, specifically "Still of the Night" Whitesnake. Where does this idea?

«Sometimes I have these crazy ideas of cover songs (laughs). For example, "My Winter Storm" was a "Poison" by Alice Cooper ... You know, as a teenager, my older brother listened to much rock hard, so I did not have much choice but to listen to it (laughs). As a result, I became interested in hard rock metal long before reappearing in my life . "Still of the Night" I was with some difficulty - I had no idea how to bite this song (laughs). «Currently on tour in Finland for Christmas concerts with the route, then I go with another promotional tour for" What Lies Beneath. "I can not wait to go back to see my Polish fans.
