Supongo que he tenido mucha suerte.»

«¡No aún!

ENGLISH TRASLATE.
TARJA TURUNEN, the goddess of metal.
The Finnish singer who first comes to Cordoba talks about two of his influences: Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston. And their marriage in Argentina.

TARJA will present its third solo album after the separation of NIGHTWISH.
Not known, at least in heavy metal circles, the story of TARJA TURUNEN fail to be curious. Born in a country whose very name evokes cold steppes and glacial ice, the Finnish knew for years to bring the crown of Queen of Metal NIGHTWISH, the band he founded with two friends in 1996 and is to date the only reference successful Finnish border outside, and joined his life for 12 years to MARCELO CABULI, manager Argentine first brought to his band was to Argentina. Indeed, while the talk has been generated this phone interview with her talking from Mexico City Mexican, his official residence is in our country with her husband, and is the second most famous international swell of San Lorenzo, after Viggo Mortensen .

«Yes, we are in Mexico after a 32-hour trip from Russia! Just do not complain, for more than four months I'm on tour, so tired and yet so grateful ... Making music is not an easy thing, the business is constantly changing, but being an artist today is a great privilege, something very beautiful,» she says in good English and with a voice so warm that challenges the prejudice against their nationality.
TARJA will for the first time on Tuesday to present in Córdoba WHAT LIES BENEATH, the third solo album since splitting of NIGHTWISH in 2005, the material that emphasizes its connection to classical music and pop side of that (not so) surprisingly his music was nurtured in its infancy and now. Just input, and following a question about his new video for Until my last breath, cut the album in question in which it operates his own death in a coffin, the girl shows that can shatter prejudice.

Why simulate your own death in a clip?
«I think that the media, people in general, we all have a memory quite fragile. Michael Jackson's death was for me something very dramatic because it was and will always be the king of pop, regardless of the rumors about his private life and everything that is said. But if you remember, before the trials of those shows in London in the midst of those who eventually died, all that seemed interesting was that, and hours after his death all the newspapers headlined "The King of Pop is dead" and spoke "death of the best singer in the universe." That made me very, very angry to the point where I thought "I must do something." Hence came the idea of this video, so sad that death turned into a spectacle.»

Indeed, given the impression that his funeral was a great final presentation ...
«Of course. It was a great show, harassment of the press gets too bad ... I remember. It was the same with another singer very important to me: Whitney Houston, just weeks ago. I cried a lot, I was very sad because he was a singer who inspired me when I was little, always sang his songs, I knew all their hits ... admired his incredible voice, but you know that when you take all the wrong choices in your life something can go wrong. Really makes me very sad to talk about the music legends who have gone that way.»

It´s curious that someone so linked to the metal as you acknowledges two influences as outside the genre.
«There´re many conservative-heavy, but not my problem. I always understood music as an emotion, if I have to, go for it, otherwise do not waste time. That is where the music has to touch you, if it does nothing. The day can not make someone laugh or mourn with my music, I feel very miserable.»

How much influence you're married to an Argentine to start spinning around South America?
«Marcelo was the one who brought NIGHTWISH for the first time to South America, and first brought to other Finnish bands before mine, as a promoter. So many bands from Finland should be grateful to my husband. In the beginning was working and nothing but the love came unexpectedly into my life and we've been together 12 years, with the idea of starting a family one day. I do not know if he is the only reason I could introduce in South America or if the music has done for itself.»

Is there a recipe to work?
«We are very happy working and loving each other. Many people wonder how that combination works shit and I do not know. I can only say I had a wonderful time. I guess I've been very lucky.»

The last Did you know Viggo Mortensen in the court of St. Lawrence?
«Not yet! (Laughs). We were supposed to find on the court and eventually canceled. I couldn´t, but I hope one day pass.»
