En realidad, escribí 'Eye Of The Storm' hace mucho tiempo. Fue escrito para el álbum 'Colours in the Dark', mi tercer álbum de rock. Pero ya en ese momento, decidí dejarlo para más adelante, esperar la ocasión especial. Y ahora con esta compilación, la tomé y quise usarla. Era un momento adecuado.
La canción tiene un sentimiento muy profundo de cierre. Es una canción poderosa y emotiva, y ha sido influenciada por dos países muy importantes en mi vida, Finlandia y Argentina. Estaba buscando inspiración en el padre musical de Finn, Jean Sibelius, y también en el sonido y el estilo del increíble compositor argentino Astor Piazzolla.
Así que la canción es como una batalla. En realidad, es una batalla interna dentro de mí, porque en ese momento de la vida, realmente estaba buscando mi lugar en este mundo al que pertenezco como persona, como individuo. Y en ese sentido, esta canción es muy personal para mí”.
