Era una noche ventosa y una larga fila de camisetas negras esperaba afuera del Club Vertigo, en el Paseo Colón de San José. Su ingreso a dicho establecimiento se tardó un poco más de lo esperado, pues el primer concierto de TARJA TURUNEN en Costa Rica.
It was a windy night and a long line of black shirts waiting outside Club Vertigo, on Paseo Colon in San Jose. Admission to the establishment took a little longer than expected, as the first concert of Tarja Turunen in Costa Rica suffered a delay due to problems in the electrical system (as I heard someone say to two managers of sound). Having overcome this drawback, the small room was full of screaming fans to force the name of the famous former lead singer of Nightwish.
The lights came on and the first to enter the stage was Max Lilja with his cello in hand, followed by the other musicians accompanying Tarja during his tour (which is the famous Mike Terrana, who has worked with artists such as Rage and Yngwie Malmsteen). With all off on stage, it did not take long for the popular singer from taking over the stage wearing a long black dress. A keypad announced the coming of Death Anteroom issue, opening the disc chanted What Lies Beneath (2010). My Little Phoenix came quickly and was Tarja took the time to thank his audience: "Thanks San Jose". Prescribing tracks from his latest work, such as Dark Star and Naiad addition to Falling Awake, the band got the audience to jump. "It's a blessing to my coming to this country," declared before releasing Tarja I Walk Alone first issue of English language debut as soloist. Mike Terrana then surprised the audience with a solo in which he demonstrated his great skill and ability, connected with the popular song "CanCan" by Jacques Offenbach.
