El pelo negro y liso, ojos claros realizadas por el maquillaje fuerte y la ropa de estilo gótico son los mismos al momento de NIGHTWISH. Sin embargo,
cuando TARJA TURUNEN en el escenario para presentar la gira, "WHAT LIES BENEATH", a partir de este miércoles en Brasil, el aspecto será el único elemento al igual que su antigua banda.
La cantante tiene tres presentaciones en el país. La primera tendrá lugar el miércoles en Porto Alegre. Luego, el metal llega a la capital paulista, el jueves. El domingo, los lugareños se puede ver el concierto en Rio de Janeiro en el que llevará a cabo poco después de la grabación del DVD de la gira en la Argentina a fines de marzo.
"Hemos preparado un repertorio muy especial que incluye sonidos de mis dos discos, portadas de algunas pistas y dos de mi próximo disco" dice en una entrevista con Globo por teléfono.
Luego de estar durante siete años en la banda NIGHTWISH, y ser dimitida del cargo de vocalista a través de una carta, la musa del metal trae el espectáculo por segunda vez de su segundo álbum en solitario de Brasil. Confiada, admite que todo es diferente. Y para mejor.
"Lo mismo sólo son los aeropuertos y los vuelos que tengo miedo. Hoy en día, siento que estoy en buenas manos, seguro y feliz. Ahora, yo hago mi propia música. Al presente cuenta con más emoción en cuestión. Es tan profunda que a veces caen en lágrimas. Llego a pensar: Dios mío, esto es real! Veo a mis fans contentos y están empacados en la misma emoción. Es una experiencia que nunca voy a olvidar" dice ella.
Con una dinámica diferente a las composiciones, el cantante asegura que "WHAT LIES BENEATH" es más rock y progresivo que el primer trabajo en solitario, "MY WINTER STORM". Las canciones de Nightwish, entran en la lista de canciones en no es más de una canción. TARJA admite que la banda era una parte importante de su carrera en la que creció como mujer, pero asegúrese de que no mira hacia atrás.
"Estoy segura de que mis fans no van a mis show´s, debido a los sonidos de NIGHTWISH", afirma.
El tono de simpatía y suave de la finlandesa no cambian aun cuando el sujeto es la separación de la banda que lanzó a la escena del metal. Género del que sigue siendo hoy en día como una musa. La timidez está presente en una carcajada cuando se le preguntó acerca de la sensualidad y el título de "musa de metal".
"Por supuesto que no soy capaz de considerarme una musa, pero estoy muy feliz por eso. Conozco a muchas personas que me han inspirado y, por supuesto, es importante ser un buen modelo para ellos. Es un honor recibir este título. ¿Si que soy sexy? Durante todo el día, todas las mujeres son sexys", concluye.
Sunset en el Rock in Rio, Brasil fue la última etapa que la cantante ha realizado con el vocalista de Angra, Edu Falaschi. La finlandesa dijo que se sentía bienvenida cada vez que vienen al país y que si ella era la persona responsable de armar la programación de espectáculos, siempre puso a Brasil en la lista. La gira de "WHAT LIES BENEATH" debe terminar al final del año. Después de eso, ella quiere relajarse en Argentina, donde tiene una casa.
"Dos años viajando, es muy cansador. Aunque no voy a descansar y terminaré de escribir mis canciones del próximo CD", finaliza.
