UNA NOCHE INMORTAL CON TARJA TURUNEN

Anoche (2 de abril), recibimos nuestra segunda visita desde tierras finlandesas, TARJA TURUNEN y una conformación de estupendos músicos que lograron encantarnos y cautivarnos con cada melodía. TARJA demostró porque es una de las diosas del metal sinfonico deslumbrando con su hermosa y potente voz, con un setlist de más de una hora y media que recorrió su álbum ‘MY WINTER STORM', ‘WHAT LIES BENEATH’ y el estreno de “Into the sun”.

Los encargados de empezar fueron los integrantes de Mythika. Pasado unos quince minutos de las 21 hs, Mythika dio inicio a la noche con canciones de su último álbum “1811-2011 como ‘Iron Hearts’ que sacudió a todos los fans.

El líder de la banda, Julio Franco se tomó un momento para agradecer a la productora por haberlos elegido, y presento su último tema ‘La amarga plegaria’, que fue inspirada en un poema de Manuel Ortiz Guerrero, comentó. Se destaco el alto nivel de músicos del grupo, que con el estilo de los ‘mythikos’ como banda telonera encajo perfectamente para hacer de antesala al concierto de la finlandesa.

A unos minutos de las 22:30, el teatro se envolvió en la oscuridad y los gritos y las ansias se dispararon al máximo. Mientras se escuchaba una intro, ya apareció en el escenario el baterista Mike Terrana, seguidos por KEVIN CHOWN (bajo), JULIÁN BARRETT (guitarra), CHRISTIAN KRETSCHMAR (teclados), MAX LILJA (cello) y por último se esbozo la figura de la esperada TARJA TURUNEN. Anteroom of Death inauguró la noche con mucha potencia, un espectacular juego de luces, y muchos gritos desenfrenados de todo el público.

“Buenas noches Asunción”, exclamó TARJA con un buen español, “gracias por estar aquí, mi primera vez, vamos a divertirnos hoy” y entre ovaciones y aplausos el grupo continuó con ‘My little Phoenix’. A la mitad del tema, TARJA volvió a dirigirse al público, y les llamó la atención con un “¡Asunción!” e hizo que el teatro alzará los brazos y la acompañe con aplausos. Le siguió ‘Dark Star’ que fue coreado por la gran mayoría y luego ‘Naiad’.

En esta vuelta TARJA hizo su primer cambio de vestuario, y el público realmente despertó y se despegaron de sus asientos con ‘Falling awake’. De nuevo TARJA le habló a sus fans: “Muchas gracias por todos los años que han estado conmigo, es mi primera vez pero no la última, por todo ese amor esto es para ustedes”, y los aplausos no terminaban menos aún los gritos cuando se percibió que nos acababa de dedicar uno de sus mejores temas, ‘I walk alone’.

Las luces se apagaron, y solo quedo iluminada la batería de TERRANA, sí era el momento justo para un solo. Mike no perdonó e hizo un despliegue potente y habilidoso que duró casi seis minutos, y para hacerlo aún más genial para sorpresa siguió el solo al ritmo de la Obertura de William Tell. La banda continuo sin TARJA con una versión instrumental de ‘Little Lies’, hasta que volvió la ex NIGHTWISH para adueñarse del escenario y continuar con el mismo tema.

El siguiente tema que fue presentado por TARJA sería una novedad para su próximo álbum, ‘Into the Sun’. Ella volvió a agradecer al público, y añadió “ahora es tiempo de relajarse, ahora vamos a hacer un set acústico, si se sientan no duerman’. Este set estuvo compuesto de los temas: Rivers of Lust, Minor Heaven, Montañas del silencio, Sing for me y I feel inmortal. Un set que resalto la delicada y esplendida voz de la finlandesa acompañada por los dulces sonidos del piano, el cello, el bajo y la guitarra acústica; además TARJA lució un admirable español que fue aclamado al final de ‘Montañas del Silencio’.

Al final del set, la cantante desafió al público al preguntar “quieren más?”, y un ferviente ‘¡sí!’ se hizo eco en todo el teatro. ‘In for a kill’ volvió a animar y levantar a todos de sus lugares, al su termino la banda hizo su primera amague de despedida, pero la noche no terminó ahí.

La magia volvió al escenario con ‘Over the hills and far away’ con una TARJA envuelta en un inmaculado conjunto blanco. Al terminar, con mucha alegría presentaba a su ‘beautifull band’.

‘Die Alive’ continuó dejando sin palabras a un teatro colmado de entusiasmo y fascinación, a la mitad del tema fue arrojado al escenario una bandera paraguaya que TARJA tomo con mucho cariño y enseño a todo el teatro mientras continuaba cantando. TARJA lucia conmovida con la euforia del público, y esta vez en inglés adelantó una despedida: “cuídense y ámense los unos a los otros, nos vemos pronto”. El último tema de la noche arribo con un emotivo ‘Until my last breath’ que nadie en ese momento deseo que acabasé nunca.
