TARJA TURUNEN se aprovecha de la extensión del último álbum de la gira para grabar su primer DVD en vivo de su carrera como solista, conciertos tendrán lugar en Brasil esta semana.
Un año después de trasladarse a Brasil con la gira del álbum "WHAT LIES BENEATH", lanzado en 2010, TARJA TURUNEN está de vuelta en Brasil, la gira que remata el álbum, y en la que la escritura se imágenes a la edición en DVD de su primera vez como artista en solitario. El llamado "WLB FINAL TOUR" comienza el miércoles de la sección brasileña de Porto Alegre. Luego pasará por Sao Paulo el jueves, y terminará en Río de Janeiro, en el Domingo de Pascua.
De un año a otro, el repertorio del concierto no ha cambiado mucho - sólo dos álbumes en solitario -, pero se compromete a añadir canciones de TARJA, no tocaron antes, e incluso sin precedentes, que tiene la intención de incluir en el próximo álbum, cuya grabación comenzará a finales de este año. En la banda de apoyo, noticias, el bajista DOUG WIMBISH sale y entra KEVIN CHOWN, y JULIÁN BARRETT da lugar al guitarrista ALEX SCHOLPP. Completan el grupo CHRISTIAN KRETSCHMAR (teclados, guitarra), MIKE TERRANA (batería) y MAX LILJA (chelo), que llegó a Brasil el año pasado.
En estos 12 meses han pasado muchas cosas a TARJA. Ella comenzó dos proyectos paralelos de la música clásica, una de ellas, con el álbum de HARUS lanzado en Brasil), participó como invitado de una desastrosa actuación en el Rock in Río Creek (aunque dejó intacta), e incluso mostró un evento de música nueva de Finlandia en honor de Paulo Coelho ... Ooops! Paulo Coelho?
En esta entrevista exclusiva, TARJA habla sobre todo y aun en el de NIGHTWISH (o casi). Echa un vistazo a chat, correo electrónico, una vez que el equipo sale de la soprano sólo se habla en el teléfono - cada uno - con los medios impresos:
Esta es la segunda vez que vengan a tocar en Brasil, en la misma gira, el mismo álbum. Qué tenemos para mostrar diferente a la del año pasado?
"He estado trabajando en mi primer DVD en vivo que fue filmado en unos pocos días en Argentina, por lo que el repertorio del concierto es muy especial este momento. (Una grabación del concierto ocurrió la semana pasada). Tocaremos canciones de mis dos álbumes, algunas cosas especiales e incluso algunas nuevas canciones del próximo álbum, el cual estoy trabajando."
En este nuevo álbum, ¿la idea es ir al estudio a finales de este año? ¿Usted puede enviar más información?
"La producción se iniciará en junio con la grabación de los tambores y guitarras. Me centraré en escribir nuevo material inmediatamente después de la final de esta larga gira, aunque hay muchas canciones ahora que se han escrito, todo listo."
Tocaste con Angra en el Rock in Río el año pasado. Todos sabemos que usted ha tenido problemas importantes con el equipo de sonido. ¿Qué puede decir de esta experiencia?
"Es bueno tener algo tan malo sucede cuando se sabe de antemano que el evento es importante y queremos hacer lo mejor posible, pase lo que pase. No tenía nada que ver con la banda, si el equipo del festival no se acaba de aprobar el sonido con ellos. La banda no puede tener tiempo para hacer el cambio y resultó y el espectáculo completo, al menos para mí. Eso sólo te deja muy frustrado, porque no hay nada que puedas hacer para resolverlo. De todos modos, me he divertido con la banda y con el público brasileño. Parecía que me estaban esperando! Fue increíble ver y sentir el amor y apoyo. Sólo tengo buenos recuerdos de esa noche."
Después de eso, creo que fue más fácil para que usted pueda ser invitado a tocar en otras ediciones del festival con su banda en el escenario principal?
"Definitivamente me encantaría algún día ser parte del Rock in Rio con mi banda. ¡Fue un sueño hecho realidad!"
Hablando de la HARUS, usted piensa que sus fans están disfrutando de su "otro lado"?
"HARUS, es algo totalmente diferente, porque es una formación clásica y no tiene nada que ver con el rock. Mis fans son plenamente conscientes de mi historia en la música clásica, nunca fue secreto. Y yo cada vez más trabajó con proyecto paralelo HARUS, o de otro tipo en el futuro. Yo soy una cantante entrenada, entre clásico y quiero desarrollar mi voz más en el canto de la ópera, porque cuando me vaya bien en ese ambiente, me ayuda a cantar mejor también rock. Mis fans han viajado por todo el mundo para ver a HARUS, o mis otros conciertos de música clásica, así que supongo que realmente les gusta este tipo de proyectos."
¿Es cierto que escribió una canción inspirada en un libro escrito por Paulo Coelho?
""Outlanders" es mi proyecto con TORSTEN STENZEL (músico alemán) y la canción que se llama "Outlanders" es la primera vez que escribí para este dúo. Tuve contacto con Paulo Coelho a través de su editor, a quien le pedí permiso para usar extractos de sus escritos en mi música. Después de que los editores de Finlandia Paulo Coelho puso en contacto conmigo a unirse a él en un evento importante en Helsinki. Me decidí a tocar esta canción allí. He leído todos los libros de Pablo y él ha sido mi mayor inspiración para escribir mis letras."
¿Usted ha oído el nuevo disco de NIGHTWISH, "Imaginaerum"?

This is the second time you come play in Brazil, on the same tour, the same album. What we have to show different from last year?
"I've been working on my first live DVD which was filmed in a few days in Argentina, so the concert repertoire is very special this time. (A recording of the concert occurred last week). In this new album, is the idea is to go into the studio later this year? Can you send more information?

You played with Angra at Rock in Rio last year. We all know that you have had major problems with the sound equipment. What can you say from this experience?
"Nice to have something so bad happens when you know in advance that the event is important and we want to do your best, whatever happens. It had nothing to do with the band, if the festival team is not just approved the sound with them. The band may not have time to change and work out and the entire show, at least for me. That only leaves you frustrated, because there is nothing you can do about it. Anyway, I had fun with the band and with the Brazilian public. It seemed that I was waiting for! was amazing to see and feel the love and support. I have only good memories of that night."
After that, I think it was easier for you to be invited to play in other editions of the festival with his band on the main stage?
"I definitely would love to someday be part of the Rock in Rio with my band. It was a dream come true!"
Speaking of the HARUS, you think your fans are enjoying their "other side"?
"HARUS is something totally different because it is a classically trained and has nothing to do with rock. My fans are well aware of my history in classical music, was never secret. And I increasingly worked with side project HARUS, or otherwise in the future. I am a trained singer, classic and want to develop my voice in singing opera, because when I do well in that environment, it helps me sing better too rock. Is it true you wrote a song inspired by a book written by Paulo Coelho?
""Outlanders" is my project THORSTEN STENZEL (German musician) and the song is called" Outlanders "is the first time I wrote for the duo. I had contact with Paulo Coelho through his publisher, who asked permission to use extracts from his writings in my music. After the editors of Finland Paulo Coelho contacted me to join him in a major event in Helsinki. I decided to play this song there.
