ARGENTINA - El programa radial "Tiempos violentos", conducido por César Fuentes Rodríguez, de la Radio argentina Rock & Pop, entrevistó a través de una comunicación telefónica a Tarja Turunen. La vocalista finesa anunció sobre el posterior disco de What Lies Beneath, que terminará las grabaciones de voces a principios del año 2013 y destacó el significado del primer corte del DVD "Act 1", Into The Sun.
Tiempos Violentos (TV): ¿Por qué elegiste la grabación en Rosario?
Tarja Turunen (TT): Elegí el Teatro el Círculo en particular porque el año pasado en 2011 conocí el escenario y es espectacular, hermoso. Organizamos todo para filmar en ese lugar. Tuvimos que llevar todo de Buenos Aires, sonidos, luces, lásers para la producción. Eso fue difícil, porque los teatros en general no están acostumbrados a trabajar con los artistas como yo o con las bandas en general.
TV: ¿Quedaron satisfechos con los resultados de la grabación?
TT: Todo salió bárbaro. Todavía estoy trabajando con la edición de videos, con arte y tapa. Estoy muy feliz.
TV: ¿Por qué elegiste "Into The Sun" como corte de difusión y adelanto del DVD?
TT: Into The Sun es una canción muy positiva. Se trata sobre la vida positiva. Yo escribí la canción con unos amigos suecos. Estábamos sentados en una terraza al lado al mar, y quería componer algo lindo. Juntos con la compañía de mi discográfica Edel de Alemania, decidimos que tenía que ser single. Into The Sun es una balada, es hermosa y un encanto.
TV: El DVD se centra en tu carrera solista, después de Nightwish. ¿Por qué decidiste no poner tanto material de Nightwish?
TT: ¡No! Quería que mis dos discos, My Winter Storm y What Lies Beneath estuvieran bien representados en mi DVD. Nemo es el único éxito con la banda anterior (Nightwish) y me parecía que tenía que estar junto a Over The Hills And Far Away, The Phantom Of The Opera. Me encantó cantar junto con Diego Valdez.
TV: ¿En qué etapa está el próximo disco de WLB?
TT: En el mismo tiempo que trabajamos con el DVD, trabajamos con el álbum de estudio. Grabamos batería, guitarra. Vinieron en Argentina los músicos: Julián Barrett, Doug Wimbish, Mike Terrana, Alex Scholpp.
TV: El equipo creativo es el mismo de la vez pasada.
TT: Casi todos están conmigo. Estoy componiendo sola. Me encanta hacer las canciones. Ya tengo mi sonido y encontré mi estilo.
TV: Te sentís más compenetrada con un estilo particular
TT: Mi estilo ya lo tengo desde WLB. Encontré algo especial con el disco. Estoy mucho más liberada para el futuro que ya sé que quiero hacer. Estoy luchando mucho.
TV: Cuáles son los planes de aquí a fin de año?
TT: Mucho trabajo, no conciertos pero mucho trabajo con el DVD que sale fin de agosto- principio de septiembre. Quiero terminar las canciones antes de fin de año, para grabar las voces el año que viene. Eso me lleva mucho tiempo y tarda mucho la producción del álbum. En diciembre voy a tener una gira en Finlandia, en Rusia y Alemania.

The radio show "Tiempos Violentos", led by Cesar Fuentes Rodriguez, Argentina Radio Rock & Pop, interviewed through a telephone call to Tarja Turunen. Tiempos Violentos (TV): Why did you choose the recording in Rosario?
Tarja Turunen (TT): I chose the Circle Theatre in particular because last year I met the stage in 2011 and is spectacularly beautiful. We organize everything to film there. We had to carry all of Buenos Aires, sounds, lights, lasers for production. That was difficult, because the theaters are generally not used to working with artists like me or bands in general.
TV: Were they satisfied with the results of the recording?
TT: It worked out great. I'm still working with video editing, art and cover. I am very happy.
TV: Why did you choose "Into The Sun" as a court of dissemination and advancement of DVD?
TT: Into The Sun is a very positive song. This is positive about life. I wrote the song with some Swedish friends. We were sitting on a terrace beside the sea and wanted to write something nice. Together with my record company Edel Germany, decided it had to be single. Into The Sun is a ballad, is beautiful and sweet.
TV: The DVD focuses on your solo career, after Nightwish. Why did you decide not to put so much from Nightwish?
TT: No! I wanted my two albums, My Winter Storm and What Lies Beneath were well represented in my DVD. Nemo is the only success with previous band (Nightwish) and I felt I had to stand by Over The Hills And Far Away, The Phantom Of The Opera. I loved singing along with Diego Valdez.
TV: What stage is the next album WLB?
TT: At the same time working with the DVD, we work with the studio album. We recorded drums, guitar. Argentina came to musicians: Julian Barrett, Doug Wimbish, Mike Terrana, Alex Scholpp.
TV: The creative team is the same as last time.
TT: Almost all are with me. I'm writing one. I love doing the songs. I have my found my sound and style.
TV: You feel more permeated with a particular style
TT: My style I have it from WLB. I found something special with the disc. I am much more liberated for the future that I know I do. I am struggling a lot.
TV: What are the plans by the end of the year?
TT: A lot of work, not concerts, but a lot of work with the DVD coming out in late August-early September. I want to finish the songs before the end of the year to record the voices next year. It takes me a long time and takes much of the album production. In December I will have a tour in Finland, Russia and Germany.
