Para nuevos shows en el país, TARJA es acompañada por MIKE TERRANA (batería, Masterplan, Savage Circus, ex Rage, ex Malmsteen), CHRISTIAN KRETSCHMAR (teclados, Schiller), KEVIN CHOWN (bajo, ex de Tony Mac Alpine, ex Azulejos) ALEX SCHOLPP (guitarra, Farmer Boys, ex) y MAX LILJA (chelo, Heveína, ex Apocalyptica). La cantante estará los días 04, 05 y 08 de abril, en Porto Alegre, Sao Paulo y Río de Janeiro, respectivamente.
Antes de aterrizar aquí, TARJA dijo que a lo largo de su carrera, recordó la salida de NIGHTWISH, la presentación junto a Angra en Rock in Rio y también habló del nuevo álbum, que ya está en marcha.
"WHAT LIES BENEATH" es su segundo álbum desde la salida de NIGHTWISH. Después de siete años, ¿cómo calificaría este momento, la salida de la banda de perturbados?
"Nunca he sido tan feliz como ahora estoy haciendo música. Me siento como si tuviera que pasar por lo que hice con la banda debido a que dio lugar a la final: la felicidad. Realmente disfruté de estos siete años como solista, viajando por el mundo y la presentación de mi propia música con mis fans. Esto es increíble y me siento bendecida por ser capaz de hacer lo que más me gusta: la música. Estoy muy agradecida de que mis fans puedan sentir la misma pasión que yo siento todos los días con mi música."
¿Tenés algún tipo de contacto con TOUMAS HOLOPAINEN?
"No."
"MY WINTER STORM", fue su primer álbum desde la salida de la banda. Es más suave en cuanto a la música y lejos del sonido de NIGHTWISH. Usted no tenía miedo de alienar a los fans que habían ganado en el momento de NIGHTWISH?
"Yo no escribía canciones cuando estaba en NIGHTWISH, entonces lo que se escucha en mis discos es el alma que habita en el artista dentro de mí. Yo no quiero siquiera mirar hacia atrás cuando empecé a escribir mis propias canciones. Creo que no sería verdad si lo hiciera. Tenía que encontrar lo que realmente me mueve musicalmente, lo que digo con mi música.
La razón por la que hacer música es no tener que complacer a alguien con ella. Hago música para mí. Así que no, yo no tenía miedo de perder los fans que me apoyaron cuando yo estaba en la banda. Normalmente la gente escucha música, ya que trae un poco de emoción y hago música por la misma razón."
"WHAT LIES BENEATH" es una música más pesada e incluso un poco oscura. ¿Es el camino que querés seguir al lado?
"Yo paso mucho tiempo viajando y yo veo las cosas que suceden a mi alrededor todos los días. Escribo sobre mi viaje y lo que me mueve, en lo personal. Soy un soñadora y mi música tiene mucho en común con mis sueños. Al comenzar a planear un disco que no puede ver al principio, donde me llevará.
Siempre tengo algún concepto o una fuerte historia en mi mente y mi música se desarrolla naturalmente. En mi próximo disco de los elementos son más o menos lo mismo que "WHAT LIES BENEATH", pero estoy seguro de algunas cosas que todavía va a cambiar. A mí me gusta aceptar retos."
Este álbum, por cierto, contó con algunos invitados especiales a allí. Como iba a tener en su disco el guitarrista Joe Satriani?
"Me encanta trabajar con otros artistas, porque aprendo de ellos. Cada uno trabaja a su manera y que es muy interesante. Joe [Satriani] tuvo la amabilidad de participar en mi disco e hizo un gran trabajo. Lo admiro como guitarrista y tuve el honor de tenerlo en mi disco. Lo conocí una sola vez en los EE.UU. y unos días más tarde ya había grabado su parte. ¡Muy eficiente!"
Se anunció que al finalizar la actual gira, comenzará a trabajar en un nuevo álbum. Se han presentado algunas canciones nuevas y en este momento, dijo que los elementos son más o menos lo mismo que "WHAT LIES BENEATH". Comparta con nosotros un poco más de noticias...
"Yo tengo una idea en mi mente, aunque el álbum no es conceptual. Voy a seguir un hilo en el álbum, con algunas historias. He escrito varias canciones, toqué algunas de ellas en la actual gira. La producción del álbum se inicia en junio. El proceso de escritura seguirá para que esta larga gira terminó. ¡No puedo esperar para volver a escribir canciones de nuevo!"
En los dos discos editados, ha elegido canciones de artistas de versiones de hard rock - "Poison" de Alice Cooper y "Still of the Night" de Whitesnake. ¿Cómo se eligió? Sus discos siempre traen un cover?
"Me encantan las versiones que hacen, ya que es siempre un reto. Y nunca hacer una versión que no tiene nada que ver conmigo, pero yo siempre lo hago con la canción suena como si fuera mía. Esas canciones que usted ha mencionado son muy importantes para mí cuando yo era joven. Vi el desafío y la oportunidad y los escogió por estas razones. Todavía no sé si voy a hacer una versión para el nuevo álbum, pero que sería divertido."
¿Cómo es el proyecto con el baterista MIKE TERRANA, The Beauty & The Beat? ¿Hay alguna posibilidad de traerlo a Brasil?
"Me divertí mucho con Mike cuando se presentó por primera vez con este proyecto en Bulgaria el año pasado, decidimos continuar con él en el futuro. Estamos planeando un viaje para abril y mayo de 2013. Espero que alguien aquí en Brasil esté interesado en llevarnos a un par de shows, sería un sueño hecho realidad."
El año pasado tocaste en el Rock in Rio, junto a Angra. ¿Cómo fue la experiencia?
"Fue un placer trabajar con Angra, porque yo ya conocía a algunos de los miembros hace unos años. Fue muy emocionante para mí y para ellos. Lamentablemente hubo una serie de problemas técnicos que día y la banda no pudieron pasar el sonido correcto y el sonido durante el espectáculo no era el mejor. Al final no importaba, porque teníamos una gran experiencia con los fans brasileños. Me quedé impresionado con el tamaño de la audiencia esa noche! La gente estaba muy feliz de verme y yo estaba feliz de verlos también."
¿Alguna vez has estado en Brasil un par de veces. Lo que debe saber y lo que piensa usted del país?
"La comida es muy sabrosa, especialmente la barbacoa ... Me encanta! Mis fans en Brasil son muy apasionados y atentos, entonces es siempre un placer tener la oportunidad de tocar en Brasil"
¿Brasil siempre estará en su calendario de gira?
"Siempre depende de los promotores y la posibilidad de hacer espectáculos. Si sólo dependiera de mí para seleccionar los lugares para jugar, está claro que Brasil siempre estaría en la lista."
¿Cuáles son las expectativas para estos espectáculos aquí en abril?
"Estoy ansiosa por regresar a Brasil. Echaba de menos los aficionados como unos pocos años desde la última vez que estuve en el país que era hora de volver. Estoy segura de que será maravilloso, así que no puedo esperar. Pronto voy a estar rockeando con usted. Gracias por apoyarme y me inspiran cada día."

"No."
"MY WINTER STORM" was his first album since leaving the band. It is softer in terms of music and sound away from NIGHTWISH. You had no fear of alienating fans who had won at the time of NIGHTWISH?
"I didn´t write songs when I was in NIGHTWISH, then what you hear on my records is the soul that inhabits the artist within me. I do not want to even look back when I started writing my own songs. I think it would be true if I did. I had to find what really moves me musically, what I say with my music.
The reason I make music is not having to please someone with it. I make music for me. So no, I was not afraid of losing the fans who supported me when I was in the band. Normally people listen to music because it brings some excitement and make music for the same reason."
"WHAT LIES BENEATH" is a heavier music and even a bit dark. Do you want to follow the path next?
"I spend much time traveling and I see things that happen around me every day. I write about my trip and what moves me, personally. I am a dreamer and my music has much in common with my dreams. At the beginning planning an album that you can not see at first, where I will.
Whenever I have a concept or a strong history in my mind and my music develops naturally. In my next album of the elements are more or less the same as "WHAT LIES BENEATH", but I'm sure some things will still change. I like to accept challenges."
This album, by the way, was there some special guests. As was to have on your hard guitarist Joe Satriani?
"I love working with other artists, because I learn from them. Each works its way and that is very interesting. Joe [Satriani] was kind enough to join my disk and did a great job. I admire him as a guitarist and I was honor to have him on my album. I met him once in the U.S. and a few days later he had already recorded his part. Very efficient!"

"I have an idea in my mind, although the album is not conceptual. I'll keep a thread on the album, with some stories. I have written several songs, played some of them on the current tour. The album begins production in June. The writing process will continue for this long tour ended. I can not wait to go back to writing songs again!"

"I had fun with Mike when first presented with this project in Bulgaria last year, we decided to continue it in the future. We are planning a trip for April and May 2013. I hope someone here in Brazil is interested in lead a couple of shows, would be a dream come true. "
Last year you played at Rock in Rio, with Angra. How was the experience?
"It was a pleasure to work with Angra, because I knew some of the members a few years ago. It was very exciting for me and for them. Unfortunately there were a number of technical problems that day and the band could not pass the correct sound and sound during the show was not the best. the end did not matter, because we had a great experience with Brazilian fans. I was impressed with the size of the audience that night! People were very happy to see me and I was happy to see them too."
Have you ever been to Brazil a couple of times. What you should know and what you think of the country?
"The food is very tasty, especially the BBQ ... I love it! My fans in Brazil are very passionate and caring, then it is always a pleasure to have the opportunity to play in Brazil"
Brasil always on your tour schedule?
"Always depends on the promoters and the possibility of doing shows. If it were up to me to choose the places to play, it is clear that Brazil would always be on the list."
What are the expectations for these shows here in April?
"I am eager to return to Brazil. I missed the fans as a few years since the last time I was in the country it was time to return. I'm sure it will be wonderful, so I can not wait. Soon I'll be rocking with you. Thanks for supporting me and inspire me every day."
